undergraduate studies at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California, where she graduated
magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a minor in Ethnic
Studies in 2008. Lisete earned her Juris Doctorate at Golden Gate University School of Law in
May of 2011, graduating with honors and as a published writer for the Golden Gate University
Law Review. She also served as an editor for the Golden Gate University Law Review.
While in law school, Lisete gained hands on experience in immigration law working both in the
private and public sector as an intern for an immigration solo practitioner and as an intern for the
Department of Homeland Security, San Francisco Office of Chief Counsel. After graduating law
school, Lisete continued her work in immigration law as a solo practitioner. She joined the law
firm of Germino, Amaral & Jordan in 2013 as an associate and continues practicing immigration
law as well as civil law, including estate planning, probate, trust administration, and
landlord/tenant law.
Lisete is a first generation Portuguese-American and fluent in the Portuguese language.
Lisete resides in Los Banos with her husband, Brian, and their son, Jax. She is a member of the
Merced County Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA),
Soroptimist, Young Ladies Institute (YLI), and Los Banos Chamber of Commerce.
